Runs 2 xboxs and cpu with no problems. A++++ in my book. Highly recommended. Brand new in box w/cd rom for easy install. Sets up in about 5 minutes. Dont second guess yourself, this is a great router for gamers on any system.
First, very unclear directions for Mac setup. Tried both DHCP and static IP addresses; no difference in performance Called D-Link customer support.
Won't be buying another D-Link product anytime soon. After an hour on the phone and no solution D-Link insisted that the driver on the mac computers must need to be updated.
No help at all. Product was cheap, but you really get what you pay for.
This router is terrible. Once hooked up, it FREQUENTLY drops the connection, especially when web browsing with multiple tabs or high bandwidth activities.
The drivers are the latest version but that was the end of the road for D-Link's support- blame it Apple.
Tech support was very unhelpful, and could neither diagnose nor fix the problem. Spend $5 more somewhere else, or you will be very disappointed. Very poor performance, This router was (until I replaced it with decent hardware) a bottleneck in between my home network and broadband connection -- when multiple users were sharing the connection, they got extremely poor connection speeds. It's certainly cheap, but in this case, that's because it's poorly made junk.
My new D-Link router, which is wired, not wireless, suits me fine -- I just connected it and that's it. And the price was right.
Plus, I would have had to pay for shipping the D-Link back to the manufacturer. I never did get around to uninstalling the new router so I could reinstall the non-functioning D-Link and call the D-Link tech support to get the required Case ID number. The D-Link EBR 2310 was a disappointment. We ordered a Cisco Linksys replacement and installed it.
We chose it to replace an older technology D-Link that had served us well for several years. I'm not a computer novice so I'm sure the problem was with the D-Link router malfunctioning, particularly since nothing in the environment had changed and the new Linksys router resolved the problem. According to the D-Link warranty info, I needed to have a Case ID number from an online tech who would first walk me through troubleshooting procedures. Router worked fine for about 5 months and then overheated and quit. We needed an immediate router solution.
Just wasn't worth the time, cost and hassle.
